Virtual Smoke School is designed to be flexible and straightforward. Register, assign trainees, complete the lecture, and then certify in VR—on your schedule.
Choose your access option during registration. If you already have a compatible headset, you can register and start right away. If not, you can use a Meta Quest or purchase a pre-loaded headset shipped ready to use.
The contact person receives an email with a link to the dashboard, where they assign each trainee to a registration.
Each assigned trainee receives login details and can complete the online lecture at their own pace before beginning VR certification.
Each individual needs their own registration. A headset can be shared.
When ready, the trainee signs in to the headset and the VR system guides them step by step through the process.
The trainee signs in and follows the on-screen prompts to begin.
Before each test, you’ll see examples of white and black smoke at different opacities to calibrate your perception.
Practice with realistic scenes and get immediate feedback to build confidence.
Complete the required white and black smoke evaluations. Results determine pass/fail for Method 9.
Upon passing, the Method 9 certificate is emailed automatically.
We’ll follow up in about six months with reminders and recertification planning.
